About Keith

Keith studied at Colchester Institute before completing a BAhons in Fine Art & Illustration at Wolverhampton University school of art and design. Post graduation he was awarded a scholarship to prepare for professional practice at the Lighthouse Studios in Wolverhampton and later returned to Colchester where he continued his illustration practice and taught Drawing and Painting at Greyfriars Community College. After the Covid lockdown in 2021 he reconnected with Mersea Island by taking a studio at 110 Coast Road in West Mersea in the heart of the sailing and fishing community. Inspired by the colour, light and textures of the coastline, his work occupies a space between realism and abstraction, mixing a variety of media in an exploratory multi layered approach. Keith offers studio based Workshops in Drawing and Painting for beginners and improvers . Times and content can be discussed and tailored to individual requirements.
